Jaishankar Hits Back at Trump’s Claim, Says No Mediation on India-Pakistan Issue

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has firmly stated that India will not accept any mediation in matters related to Pakistan. Addressing a public event, he said that for the past fifty years, there has been a clear national consensus on this issue. Jaishankar added that whether it is trade, protecting farmers’ interests, or safeguarding India’s strategic autonomy, the government’s position remains crystal clear.

'Will Do Whatever Is Necessary for Farmers’ Interests'

S. Jaishankar said, “If someone disagrees with us, then please tell the people of India that you are not prepared to protect the interests of farmers. Tell the people of India clearly that you place no importance on strategic autonomy. We do. And to preserve it, we will do whatever is necessary.”

Trump Claimed to Stop a War

U.S. President Donald Trump has often asserted that he mediated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan in May. India, however, has denied this claim on every platform. India’s clear stance remains that it does not accept any third-party mediation on matters concerning Pakistan.

Heavy Losses for Pakistan in Operation Sindoor

During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army penetrated 100 kilometers inside Pakistan and destroyed nine terrorist bases. Indian missiles also demolished several Pakistani airbases. Despite this, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir have continued boasting publicly.
